Common questions
Do I need my own car?
No. Most students learn in Neelu's brand-new 2026 Suzuki Swift, which has instructor-side dual controls for safety. If you'd rather practise in your own car, that's fine too — lessons in your car cost a little less.
Can you teach me in Malayalam, Tamil or Hindi?
Yes. Neelu teaches in English, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi — whichever is most comfortable for you. Many students find learning in their first language takes a lot of the stress out of driving.
I learned to drive overseas. Can you help me convert my licence?
Yes — overseas licence conversion is a DriveEZ specialty. You start with an assessment drive, work through the NZ road rules and real test routes, then do a mock test before the real one. Neelu will also point you to the nearest specialist overseas-conversion site to apply at.
Which areas do you cover?
Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Wellington and Porirua. Lesson prices differ slightly by area — Hutt Valley lessons start at $60 and Wellington/Porirua at $70, all GST inclusive.
Can you teach manual?
Yes — Neelu teaches both manual and automatic, which is rare in Wellington. Tell her which licence you are aiming for and she will plan your lessons around it.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Bookings through the online booking page need at least 24 hours notice. Need something sooner? WhatsApp or call Neelu on 022 565 4848 and she will see what she can do.
